Title : Are Fair People Less Happy? Effects of Empathy and Subjective Status on the Relationship Between Social Preferences and Happiness.

Lee, T. (Presenter), Kwon, Y., Bang, J., & Sul, S.

How happiness is related with individuals' consideration for the welfare of themselves and others? This poster presentation shows that individuals with higher empathic concern tend to consider less advantaged others more in resource distribution situations. This tendency was more pronounced among those with higher subjective socioeconomic status and was associated with lower life satisfaction.

2023.11

Best Poster Award

International Conference of the Korean Dementia Association
Title : Functional connectivity changes between tau-accumulated regions and whole brain in Alzheimer’s disease continuum with affective symptoms.

Lee, T. (Presenter), Jeong, Y.

Depression and anxiety in Alzheimer's disease were reflected in neural biomarkers of AD. Alterations in tau accumulation and functional connectivity of left isthmus of cingulate gyrus, left medial orbitofrontal cortex, right middle temporal gyrus and right lingual gyrus were associated with affective symptoms in AD patients.

Social Neuroscience Investigation into the Benefits of Prosocial Behavior

Pusan National University

This project investigates prosocial and altruistic behaviors such as blood, stem cell, and organ donation, as well as heroic rescues. Our team examines the neural, psychological, and social characteristics; the learning and behavioral patterns; and the well-being of extraordinary altruists. What factors drive altruistic actions? And how does altruism influence the well-being of altruists?

Responsibilities :
- Development of experimental protocols incorporating questionnaires, behavioral tasks, and neuroimaging methods.
- Recruitment of participants and execution of experiments
- Liaison with institutions and facilitation of communication within the research team
- Data organization and analysis
